Should be listed as NASCO(Towa) As far as I know NASCO is an acronym for National Advanced Systems Corp and is, or was, a subsidiary of Hitachi, mainly selling computers, computer peripherals, printers and electronic typewriters. The typewriter itself was manufactured by Towa Sankiden.
June 5th 2017:
I don't know why I failed to notice this before, but the ribbon cartridge for this typewriter is compatible with a "Towa Executive 77". The "anonymous" instruction guide is also a tell-tale sign that this is a Towa typewriter.
Therefore I believe the marque should be "NASCO (Towa)" - although I'm sorry to see Hitachi go. :)
I also have a thumbnail image (all I can find thus far) of a "Towa Executive II" that strongly resembles (but is not identical to) this NX-90.

Perth, Western Australia. The best place in the world to be during a pandemic. But not an ideal location for a typewriter collector. My collecting interests shifted from mechanical typewriters to electronic. Theres something about the daisy wheel I like and there are more design variations than you might think. Still have few mechanical and electric typewriters. Running out of physical space ... ;)
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Nasco (Hitachi) NX-90 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Nasco (Hitachi) Serial Number page and the Nasco (Hitachi) NX-90 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
