198X Smith Corona Enterprise II Serial # 4LRA144839 198X Smith Corona Enterprise II typewriter, Serial # 4LRA144839 KJ McLean's 198X Smith Corona Enterprise II typewriter. 2025-07-10 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of KJ McLean: 198X Smith Corona Enterprise II Serial # 4LRA144839 This Smith-Corona Enterprise II (now named "Picard") was adopted, along with its case, at an estate sale in St. George, New Brunswick, Canada, on July 1, 2025.

Aside from needing a good cleaning, and having a couple of keys glued back on, it works very well. I am thrilled! (I was in need of an electric typewriter as I have rheumatoid disease, and a manual typewriter sometimes takes more finger pressure than my hands can muster on a given day.)

My particular Enterprise II is especially interesting as it has a French keyboard.

One of the things I especially enjoy about vintage items is how they have had a history with other people before me; this machine has its previous owner's social insurance number hand-etched into it as proof of ownership.

I intend to stock up on Type IIA cartridges as circumstances allow, so that we can continue to make beautiful pages together for many years to come!
