Description:
EP-20 for Sears. Still going on the cassette that was in it. And a bonus of three new ones sealed and wrapped in plastic wrap.
In the ads you will sometimes see they added "calculator" to them. SC sued Brother and claimed this machine violated the anti dumping restrictions they were under. Brother countered that that didn't say anything about a calculator, so the units of these sold didn't count against their restriction. This is my interpretation of the legal lingo, but I am not an attorney.
$200 in 1983 is equivalent to $660 today.

Typewriters are the perfect blend of using one's technical skills, history and functional purpose. My goal is type tested machines. My interests are not isolated to any one area. For example, I am a big fan of Smith Corona electrics, mid century electrics and all things Royal.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Sears 300 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Sears Serial Number page and the Sears 300 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
