Description:
Recently purchased (03/03/2026) from a local-ish vintage store.
So far, this machine has been the dirtiest I've acquired and has taken quite a bit of cleaning (of the linkages and such) to bring up to a usable standard.

Hobbyist of far too many things, but, most recently, typewriters. I presently have 5:
- a Smith Corona Galaxie,
- an Olivetti Underwood 21,
- a Smith Corona Corona Seventy (electric),
- a Royal KMG,
- and a Smith Corona Super Sterling.
I hope to curb over-collection, but I find that unlikely, but I hope to find--at least--an ultra-portable [standard has been found].
I have a far too neglected website at https://ashavedbear.dev which is hosted by Neocities. I hope to return to regular updates to it, but I often fail to find the time for all of my hobbies.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Corona Super Sterling on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Corona Serial Number page and the Smith Corona Super Sterling By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
