Description:
Sold in Feb of 1972 - based on serial number it is most likely 1971 machine. Came with a case, key, manual, receipt and extra ribbons. Just needed a basic cleaning - it's in beautiful condition. Love the feel of the keys and typeface.

I have loved pressing buttons since I was little. I have memories of playing with the buttons on my grandma's Princess telephone, and watching her fingers with her long red-painted nails fly over her Selectric. I wanted to use it so badly! Also, my grandpa's adding machine. THAT we were only allowed to touch supervised. Now I'm collecting typewriters in all sorts of conditions and enjoying learning how to fix them. I haved fixed alignment issues, replaced a typeslug (ugh) and solved some other minor problems with the helpful feedback and videos of those that have come before me. My first was a 1964 Smith-Corona Classic 12 (so sharp looking), my rarest (I think?) is a 1972 Montgomery Ward Escort 55 in canary yellow. Mostly type letters. I try to practice my typing once a day.
