It has a plastic form fitting case that holds the machine snugly in place when transporting. It has a ribbon advance system where both spools are turned, click by click as opposed to other systems where one spool turns freely. This model is known for it's smooth carriage action, and based on my experience I would agree. This was the first typewriter I've ever purchased, and is a delight to type on.

This Smith-Corona Courier is a beige colored, plastic body portable manual typewriter. It has a plastic form fitting case that holds the machine snugly in place when transporting. It has a ribbon advance system where both spools are turned, click by click as opposed to other systems where one spool turns freely. This model is known for it's smooth carriage action, and based on my experience I would agree. This was the first typewriter I've ever purchased, and is a delight to type on.

PAGE GAGE feature helps keep bottom margins uniform by measuring the distance remaining at the bottom of the type sheet. Using the gauge requires you to turn the platen until the number indicating the length of the paper shows on the gauge under SET. As you approach the end of the paper, the number under END indicates the number of inches remaining for the bottom margin.
