Goodwill.org catch. I’ve read good things about this little machine. Type Sample co Ing as soon as I get a ribbon. Since the machine came without spools, Lanie at Ribbons Unlimited made a new part number for this model: 6N053. It is kinda messy, ink-wise, and I bet I’ve got it threaded incorrectly. More fiddling around in the near future. The @ key has a “c” in the middle-it doesn’t show up well on the type sample because that type bar might be bent. It gets stuck firmly at the platen when the key is struck. I’m on the look out for a replacement platen knob.

Typing and collecting machines with different typefaces keeps me busy and happily distracted from the difficulties in life-fountain pens, too, and I can write legibly, in cursive, while laying down.
