Description:
The Olivetti Studio 45 typewriter was the model that replaced the Studio 44. It was the first Olivetti with ABS bodywork followed shortly after by the Valentine. Designed by Ettore Sottsass Jr and produced from 1967 to 1973. This specimen is one of the last. Two series are known, identical, but the first with the logo printed on the paper rest, the second with the logo on a metal plate above the keyboard.

I have been an Italian typewriter collector for many many years. At that time, I loved very old typewriters from late 1800s to early 1900s. After a break of a few years I returned to collect typewriters but no longer so old, I prefer now the design of the 40's, 50's and 60's. Yes, I am an affectionate collector of Olivetti, of course, but I'm attracted to all the other brands from that period, not just Italian.
