Picked up this Olivetti Lettera 31 from Gramercy Typewriter in NYC on 2026-08. In great serviced / working condition, types very nicely. This is my first typewriter since I was a kid tapping on my grandparents' typewriters decades ago.
Note that this is really an Underwood 315 (which is itself a rebadged Olivetti). Huh? I'll explain: the Underwood 315 was internally a Lettera 31 but with the tabulator seen in the Lettera 32, and commonly available in the blue-panel color shown here. This one is unusual in that the top plate badge says "Olivetti Underwood Lettera 31" instead of the more common "Underwood 315" badge, so I've listed it according to its label, but if you view Underwood 315 models on this site you'll immediately see the common elements.
