Many folks name their typewriters, its a common thing with bicycles too. I generally don't, but I dont know why... I didn't even name my cat (he came with a name already). But sometimes a thing just GETS a name, a natural one, that just pops out and sticks-- and this one's called Turdlog. Found the green Galaxie Deluxe first, and was astonished by the green platen. I'd never heard of such a thing. So then I did the next natural thing and bought two gold ones in quick succession. The brown platen... well you see the green one is very pretty, but this thing... can't call it butt ugly, that would be too literal. The brown platen just looks too much like a big old turdlog laying there in the typewriter.

This is the 1st gold Galaxie Deluxe, I bought a second one. Its called Number Two.
