Description:
The first-generation Electra 110 was released in 1965. This is likely a 65 or 66 model based on a 100000 start SN. Compared to a second-generation machine, there is no light, no power spacer, the changeable key has a red cap, and there is no carriage lock.
The ads show the power space for Jan 1967,
By reviewing the confusing 120 and 110 galleries, I think it goes like this:
6SE2, 1965-66. No light, no power spacer, red changeable key.
6SEV, 1967, light, power space, black changeable key.
6ESF, late 1969 for the disco panel. This is if it matched the rollout on the 120.

Typewriters are the perfect blend of using one's technical skills, history and functional purpose. My goal is type tested machines. My interests are not isolated to any one area. For example, I am a big fan of Smith Corona electrics, mid century electrics and all things Royal.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Corona Electra 110 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Corona Serial Number page and the Smith Corona Electra 110 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
