1968 Scheidegger (Adler) Typomatic TMS Serial # 4072271 1968 Scheidegger (Adler) Typomatic TMS typewriter, Serial # 4072271 Steven Kuterescz's 1968 Scheidegger (Adler) Typomatic TMS typewriter. 2016-06-19 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Steven Kuterescz: 1968 Scheidegger (Adler) Typomatic TMS Serial # 4072271 This one's not so badly yellowed as the one that Magic Margin showed his disgust for here on the TWDB. A comment left by Carlo for that entry pointed out where to find the real serial number (rather than the contract number label on left of carriage).
Identical shape and typing feel to the 1969 Adler Gabriele 10 I once owned, same Elite typeface.
Considering it seems to be made of vinyl-covered cardboard, the case is in good condition for its age.
This typewriter is in my possession but I don't like it enough to even temporarily add it to my collection. I'm selling it on.
The instruction guide I have for it is in English, Swedish, Danish and Norwegian.
I might scan more pages later, but I have no enthusiasm for this typewriter.
A good typewriter to use but HORRIBLY UGLY to look at. Adler really sold themselves short with these cheap plastic shells IMO.

Perth, Western Australia. The best place in the world to be during a pandemic, but not the ideal location for a typewriter collector. My collecting interests shifted from mechanical typewriters to electronic. There's something about the daisy wheel I like and there are more design variations than you might think. I still have a few mechanical and electric typewriters. Running out of physical space ... ;)

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Scheidegger (Adler) Typomatic TMS on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Scheidegger (Adler) Serial Number page and the Scheidegger (Adler) Typomatic TMS By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
