Description:
The budget, budget version without repeat keys and manual shift. This one has a silencer spring, and the Sears I just wrapped does not. I think the Sears must have had one? An excellent example of Litton just giving up. Springfield is shuttered, and they don't even try to compete with Smith Corona.
They are easy to service, and the belt is usually ok.

Typewriters are the perfect blend of using one's technical skills, history and functional purpose. My goal is type tested machines. My interests are not isolated to any one area. For example, I am a big fan of Smith Corona electrics, mid century electrics and all things Royal.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal (Silver-Seiko) Apollo 10 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal (Silver-Seiko) Serial Number page and the Royal (Silver-Seiko) Apollo 10 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
