Description:
This is one that I'm cleaning for a local antiques dealer and it's a lost cause, with a snapped axle for the escapement. Too bad, 'cause it's pretty clean. It's roman type on a slightly tighter than pica size at about 10.2 cpi, but no type sample.

While I find all of mankind's inventions interesting, I am most enchanted by the human-scale arts and devices, the ones that can be created (and repaired) in a home workshop or studio; the ones that can be understood by looking at them; the ones that do something useful or stir admiration.
