1967 Triumph Tippa 1 Serial # 4752722 1967 Triumph Tippa 1 typewriter, Serial # 4752722 Jere Hyrsky's 1967 Triumph Tippa 1 typewriter. 2024-07-07 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Jere Hyrsky: 1967 Triumph Tippa 1 Serial # 4752722 Has the old standard Finnish keyboard layout and the standard Pica typeface. Sadly the blue, white and red markers for the ribbon selector are missing, Interestingly, the back of the carrying case/lid does not read "CASE MADE IN WESTERN GERMANY", like in the cases of my 1970s Triumph Tippa and Adler Tippa S; instead it has been left blank.

This was going to become a parts machine, but after some testing it looks to be in internally better condition than my 1972 Triumph Tippa and the print quality is a lot better, so I will probably change the plastic shell from the '72 Tippa onto this one and call it a day.

I have been looking for ways to spend less time on electronic devices, and because of this I started doing my writing and translation work with pens and pencils, and now on typewriters as well.

My intention is not to collect typewriters just for the sake of collecting them, but I want to actually use them for work and to learn how to maintain them myself. Will probably start getting rid of some of my machines after I figure out which ones I like the best. I'm almost done with the collecting part and figuring out which machines are the most useful to me.

I'm currently in the process of reviewing the machines I have acquired and tested. Reviews done so far:

Erika Daro Model 41
Hermes 3000 (3rd gen.)
Olivetti Lettera 32
