Description:

Kitty (picture of cat folded up inside typewriter). 5.15.2023, purchased from Goodwill online, Santa Ana, CA. All metal, solid ultra-portable. #Royal #ultra #black #Holland #Pennant #1960s 9.27.2026 we gave this to a young woman who came to two of our type-in events with her friend. They accepted the challenge to write poetry on-the-spot. I gave them 4 words to incorporate into poems and they did such good work. We gave them each a typewriter and they were super happy to have them.

Started collecting in March 2021 when an Olympia SM3 caught my eye at a thrift store. By May 2021, I was up to nine. By September 2021, my husband jumped in to the pool with both feet and our collection grew to 37. Phew. By October 2022 we had 64. In 2023 we began attending and hosting events where we can share our collection with the community and other collectors. We've sold or given away over 40. Good times.
