The Olympia Splendid 66 is by far the most elegant typewriter in my collection, although technically this one isn't mine. When I purchased my first typewriter in February '25 my wife bought one too, yes this is her one and only machine and almost as beautiful as she. I have remained jealous of this machine since the day she bought it for the bargain price of £30, I have never seen one since for as little. It types beautifully with it's familiar Olympia pica typeface and I imagine myself attempting to write scintillating prose upon it whilst sat upon the banks of the Seine and later in some French cafe / restaurant a la Hemingway.
