Description:
This was a cheap machine I got at a store. It is quite rusty, but the movement is good, and the original metal ribbon spools are present. The platen is okay, and the outer case is only a bit banged up, but the carry case is fabric and totally unsalvageable for me.

I’m an amateur typewriter enthusiast from the Midwest who buys and restores typewriters. I was enamored with them since I was young, and got hooked when I was about 13 and received my first machine as a gift. Since then I have bought a lot, gotten some as gifts, and am currently trying to sell a few. Maybe one day I'll give a machine to a child who will begin the new generation of Typewriter Hunters.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington Monarch on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington Monarch By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
