Description:
Nickname: Skye
This is the first time I have purchased a machine that was professionally restored and paid the premium price to do it. I have often purchased machines that needed a repair, or a service, but never a full restoration. I would have buyers remorse if Skye wasn't such a smooth typer. The action is "solid" but not stiff. It feels good, the closest thing I have experience to it are my Hermes 3000 machines and even they have a different feel, but share that aspect of solidness. Skye is a gorgeous robin's-egg blue and grey with blueish-grey keys. It is also a cursive machine, one of only two that I own. I have a feeling Skye is going to spend a fair amount of time out in public view.

Metastatic cancer fighter and sudden cardiac arrest survivor who has gotten into vintage typewriter collecting after realizing that life is short and typewriters are fascinating. My machines range from 1947 to 1973 and I type on all of them and have given each of them a name. Have I mentioned that life is short? I am having great fun with this obsessi- I mean hobby. I live in San Diego, California.
