Description:
This is my second Splendid 99 with burgundy colored keys. It's a Japanese version this time. Made in Germany, it has katakana font types. Recently bought here in Japan, it works perfectly well and as a bonus has a lot of documentation, although the pages on the brochure in English are stuck to each other, probably due to moisture over time.

I'm an archaeologist who writes heritage books and collects Japanese ceramics as well as quite a number of typewriters that I've acquired through purchase or as gifts over the last 10 years in the Philippines as well as in the US and Japan.
I'm currently a visiting professor at a university in Japan and it is heaven here to see so many typewriters being auctioned online!
