Serial number is way out of range for the Combina, but is likely a 1960, due to the style of the label matching the very first relabeled Aztecs. This appears to be when other East German machines were remaindered out to Aztec as the East German factories transitioned to being absorbed into Robotron from the late 50's through 1962 before they were replaced with Robotrons until 1965.

From the collection of Marcello Vazquez, an Aztec rebrand of a Groma Combina for the US market, oddly named the 800 model, a designation that is also seen on Erika 20's branded as Aztec 800. I am a casual Typewriter Hunter residing in some liminal transitional spacetime between my lifetime in Arizona to the New World of PROBABLY Conneticut with a wife, two cats and about 50 typewriters. My collection consists mainly of portables with cases, and they stay in the cases unless I am actively using it (usually more than one at a time). I do, however keep a handful of interesting Selectrics, including a Composer.
