I spotted this 1959 Facit P on Etsy back in 2018/2019 from a seller located in Kansas City, Missouri. I almost bought it, but decided not to because a) I had recently purchased a Halda P in better condition and b) this typewriter had a cracked spacebar. This lovely machine eventually sold and I regret not picking it up, as I've since learned how to fix broken things. As far as I can tell, this Facit P is essentially the same machine as my 1956 Halda P, with the exception of color variances and, of course, the name badge. Pretty sure these Facit Ps were made simply to sweep existing Halda P parts out the door. Including it here as a sighting because Facit Ps are pretty rare and at least we can all see what one looks like. On a side note, this Facit P has a legacy dealer decal on its backside from George Stuart, Orlando, Florida. I've included a link detailing that company's history below.

The paper bail scale goes up to 80, which is typical for a pica machine with a normal-size platen.

Made of Swedish steel. Complete with chrome trim and a black pinstripe.

The carriage return lever rides incredibly close to the cover, but never touches it.

Includes a retractable paper holder. The dealer decal says "Check with George Stuart, Orlando, Florida"

The carriage lock is located right underneath the right platen knob. Forward locks it. Backward unlocks it.

Intact proprietary metal spools. The crack in the spacebar is visible just below the letter N key.

Underneath: a single large, wraparound rubber foot.

Complete with a handsome carrying case.
