Description:
Not so easy to find in Italy, at the time there was a big competitor named Olivetti.......but even as an Olivetti fan i must admit that both from an aesthetic and operational point of view the various Smith Corona Silent, Sterling and Clipper were superior to the contemporary Studio 44. I am the lucky owner of this specimen, it works fine and I like it a lot.

I have been an Italian typewriter collector for many many years. At that time, I loved very old typewriters from late 1800s to early 1900s. After a break of a few years I returned to collect typewriters but no longer so old, I prefer now the design of the 40's, 50's and 60's. Yes, I am an affectionate collector of Olivetti, of course, but I'm attracted to all the other brands from that period, not just Italian.
