1957 Royal Quiet De Luxe Serial # D3718216 1957 Royal Quiet De Luxe typewriter, Serial # D3718216 LaDonna Qualtieri's 1957 Royal Quiet De Luxe typewriter. 2023-09-08 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of LaDonna Qualtieri: 1957 Royal Quiet De Luxe Serial # D3718216 This typewriter has a nice color combo. Apparently it is the original color. What makes this one extra special is the 9 CPI Great Primer typeface. Honestly, I’d like all my incoming letters to have this large font! Not really, but it is very easy to read. I found this one at Rees Electronics (Los Angeles, CA) online store. Rees has kindly mailed a replacement knob, much needed since I’ve found myself using this machine quite often.

I have many pen pals and correspond via handwritten and typed letters. I have a (painful) sitting disability and type while standing- UPDATE! I can also type on an ultraportable I set up on my bed. Typing and collecting machines with different typefaces keeps me busy and happily distracted from the difficulties in life-fountain pens, too, and I can write legibly, in cursive, while laying down. Join me on Type Pals and register for the monthly postcard exchanges. The “Cat Mews” is a quarterly publication of the philatelic topical group Cats On Stamps Study Unit (COSSU), for which I am a column contributor. My cats are Wiffle Wizard and Urushi (Rushi) Blizzard, aka the Blizzard Sisters.
