1957 Olympia SM3 Serial # 1026918 1957 Olympia SM3 typewriter, Serial # 1026918 Phillip Danieley's 1957 Olympia SM3 typewriter. 2021-05-03 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Phillip Danieley: 1957 Olympia SM3 Serial # 1026918 This was the typewriter that started it all for me. My parents purchased this for me at a flea market in Nashville, TN when I was a freshman in college. It was in good working condition as it still is, though it has accumulated dust over the years (which I feel appropriately bad for and plan to rectify). The ribbon also needs replacing. This machine has sentimental value for me because I used this to write drafts of poems and stories for my creative writing classes in college. I was "that typewriter guy," which may have had a bad connotation for some, but I embraced it.
