Description:
Neighbor's dad bought it in 1950s, stayed in the family until 2026. Very interesting that it has a legal code section symbol key, as well as an exclamation point.

I’m an amateur typewriter enthusiast from the Midwest who buys and restores typewriters. I was enamored with them since I was young, and got hooked when I was about 13; having received my first machine as a gift. Since then I have bought a lot more, and have founded Typewriters Wanted, my hobby business! At Typewriters Wanted, our mission is to procure the best typewriter for everyone, and give new life to old technology. Maybe one day I'll give a machine to a child who will begin the new generation of Typewriter Hunters.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Hermes 2000 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Hermes Serial Number page and the Hermes 2000 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
