Das ist meine Optima Plana aus dem Jahre 1953. Nach der Reinigung und dem Farbbandwechsel schreibt sie wieder hervorragend. Ich habe die Maschine für 10€ mit einem Stapel Schreibmaschinenpapier bei meinem Trödel des Vertrauens ergattert. Wirklich ein Schnäppchen.

Die Maschine ist bis jetzt auch meine liebste Flachschreibmaschine, da sie für ihre Größe (nur 7,5cm Höhe) wirklich außerordentlich viele Funktionen hat. Beispielsweise einen Farbschalter und auch einen Setztabulator. Außerdem ist sie mit 45 Tasten ausgestattet, was auch so schonrecht wenige Schreibmaschinen, und erst recht wenige Flachschreibmaschinen / Ultra portables.

Hello, my name is Tim Rippl and I am from Germany. I have been collecting typewriters for about a year and a half and currently have ten machines in my collection. My collection mainly focuses on German manufacturers, but I also have a American typewriter.

What fascinates me most about typewriters is their technology, history, and the many different ways in which they were designed and constructed. In my opinion, old typewriters are a great example of how creative and resourceful people could be when working with relatively simple technical means. Every machine has its own history and character, and that is what makes collecting them so interesting to me.

I look forward to continuing to expand my collection and learning more about the history and technology behind these fascinating machines.
