Description:
This machine is my preferred heavy-typing typewriter. I came across it in an antique store near St. Jacob’s farmers market. It is the earlier design of quiet-riter, only made in the first two years of this machine’s manufacture; I much prefer this design over the bulbous and smooth design produced onwards. This machine is fully functional and cosmetically excellent.

I am a young typewriter collector, based in Canada; I caught the bug when I came across a 1926 Underwood Standard No. 3 in an antique store, and was never able to get the darn thing out of my head. Since then, my collection has been rapidly growing. I especially like older machines, and I prefer restoring rough machines over hunting for perfect examples.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington Quiet-Riter on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington Quiet-Riter By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
