Description:
Pica font Sterling from 1950. The case (not pictured) has a false tweed pattern skin, but it's not necessarily any cooler than the 1949 all black version. Update 7/1/19 I sold the typewriter to a lady from Illinois, buying it for her daughter to use.

I've fixed and sold many typewriters. There are three that I love to use for writing: 1930 Underwood No.5. 195 1 Remington Quiet-Riter, 1971 Hermes 3000.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Corona Sterling on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Corona Serial Number page and the Smith Corona Sterling By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
