Description:
This was a 'smashed typewriter. 4 keys were bent (2 still are) and the type bars will not sit flat at rest, only one-way ribbon-advance.. Most would pass. Now the good news. The platen is still soft. The steel is top quality, no rust anywhere. One of my favorite typewriters. Type feel is buttery, almost Olympia & Hermes type feel.

Born and raised less than a quarter mile from The Noiseless factory in Middletown, CT. (It was Remington Rand by the time I came around). I was getting interested in mechanical typewriters when my wife brought home a blue 1965 Smith-Corona Sterling in perfect condition. Now I own 21 mechanical and 3 electric typewriters!
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington All-New on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington All-New By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
