This machine came with a lot of seven machines I acquired together a couple of years ago. I neglected it so far, but of course this machine types like a champion (tm) after a little cleaning.
It is not in perfect condition cosmetically, but still pretty good. Unlike my favorite "S", this "SS" has a segment shift, which should make it a little lighter to use - however, not lighter to carry, at a hefty 36.2 lbs/16.4 kg.

I started collecting my first pre-WW2 standard typewriters in 2017. Since then I have added a few machines to my collection, which now ranges from the 1890s to the 1980s. As of 2020, I have more big standard (desktop) typewriters than portables, and a few standard electrics.
