Uncommon model today, the M-model "Meisterklasse" of the Erika, produced by the historic German brand Seidel & Naumann of Dresden is not so different from the most common models of the same period, such as 5, 8,and S with the exception of a couple of special devices, such as marginators and tabs activated by 4 square buttons near the space bar and a lever that automatically set a space between each printed character. This "M" specimen is one of the last produced (1941).

I have been an Italian typewriter collector for many many years. At that time, I loved very old typewriters from late 1800s to early 1900s. After a break of a few years I returned to collect typewriters but no longer so old, I prefer now the design of the 40's, 50's and 60's. Yes, I am an affectionate collector of Olivetti, of course, but I'm attracted to all the other brands from that period, not just Italian.
