Description:
I picked this little Remette today for a song. It came with a case that needs a handle bur it is in really great shape. It also came with the rare "left spool" as the ones that say left spool are usually the original spool that came with the machine. This was built in Canada as the serial number is CCR. I like machines that work right out of the box.

Dad, typewriter nerd, disc golfer, musician and an all around swell guy that lives in Port Moody BC Canada. I bought my first machine in around 1997 for $5 (Underwood 6) and restored it in a small cabin I lived in. I had it for the past 24 years when my 8 year old daughter asked if it worked, I brought it down off the shelf and she started playing with it. I then saw on FB Marketplace a 1916 LC Smith that needed a ton of work for $50, and that hooked me, 24 months later I have 160+ machines and have plans for all of them. Fantastic hobby. I love them being so Analog. I have recently collaborated with Dave Benning, a good friend and local artist, to create some custom hand painted works of "workable" art. I restore the typewriter while Dave gives it some new "clothes".
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington Remette on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington Remette By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
