Description:
This is a special machine. It was gifted to me by a virtual stranger. It is really in good shape. It is a rare Canadian model of this machine. It is super rare because it has mathematic symbol keys. See typing sample. Really cool. Is missing the @ symbol - which makes it harder to use in these modern times with email addresses etc. but still fun and great to type on. Love the basket shift on this. (Canadian)

Novice typewriter enthusiast. Not allowed to "collect" them but what is a "collection"? LOL. I will try to keep it to 5 at a time or less. My first experience with a typewriter was with my grandma and her letting me type away on hers for hours without a single complaint (she was an angel). My love for vintage fountain pens, my favourite grandma and an appreciation for practical antiques/art has brought me here.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington Model 1 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington Model 1 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
