Description:
The model 90 Everest was a highly successful typewriter produced for many years, from 1937 to 1952, by Officine Serio with headquarters in Milan and factory in Cremona. This specimen is one of the earliest, from the second year of production. Machines produced before WWII were easily recognizable, in addition to the serial number, of course, by the smooth paint job, the presence of the autarkic logo on the back, and the Everest logo on the center of the paper rest (on the right for later machines).

I have been an Italian typewriter collector for many many years. At that time, I loved very old typewriters from late 1800s to early 1900s. After a break of a few years I returned to collect typewriters but no longer so old, I prefer now the design of the 40's, 50's and 60's. Yes, I am an affectionate collector of Olivetti, of course, but I'm attracted to all the other brands from that period, not just Italian.
