Bought from the grandson of a novelist & translator.
His grandpa clearly took advantage of the multilingual keyboard: Romanian (ă,â,î,ș,ț), German (QWERTZ layout; ö, ü) and Hungarian (É, Á).
Inside the case I found the buying contract approved by the police of the communist regime and the legal prescriptions. In 1948-1989 Romania it was illegal to detain and use devices that could be used for spreading texts (leaflets or manifestos) unapproved by the Party.
Regarding the condition of this machine, besides some cleaning and a new rubber for the platen, the backspace needs some fixing.
Note the different Shift keys: Schimbător/Umschalt.
Scarlet-coloured felt on the base gives a luxury feeling every time I open the case.
