1937 Olympia Simplex Serial # 0163897 1937 Olympia Simplex typewriter, Serial # 0163897 Ollie Prochaska's 1937 Olympia Simplex typewriter. 2025-06-13 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Ollie Prochaska: 1937 Olympia Simplex Serial # 0163897 I picked this up in the summer of 2024 and just got around to getting it into working condition in April 2025. It had been sitting in a damp basement for years, so everything was seized and all the rubber was shot. I replaced gaskets, freed everything up, and it's become a really fantastic typer. It even feeds paper well despite the badly deteriorated feed rollers. New feet to come next. Will update with type sample.
