1932 Continental Klein Serial # R029592 1932 Continental Klein typewriter, Serial # R029592 Joel Berger's 1932 Continental Klein typewriter. 2026-06-23 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Joel Berger: 1932 Continental Klein Serial # R029592 I got this machine from ebay and it noted that the carriage moved all the way to the right. I assumed it was escapement issues and it was, but I never expected that the escapement starwheel shaft had sheared off! I have a makeshift one to replace it now and I hope to commission a better one eventually, but for now it works and types very well.

I started collecting in late 2024 but I have caught the bug in a big way. I already have dozens of typewriters, mostly the older varieties, from as early as the 1880s though the 1920s, some as late as the late 50s/early 60s.
