Description:
I got this machine from ebay and it noted that the carriage moved all the way to the right. I assumed it was escapement issues and it was, but I never expected that the escapement starwheel shaft had sheared off! I have a makeshift one to replace it now and I hope to commission a better one eventually, but for now it works and types very well.

I started collecting in late 2024 but I have caught the bug in a big way. I already have dozens of typewriters, mostly the older varieties, from as early as the 1880s though the 1920s, some as late as the late 50s/early 60s. Most I'm restoring as best as I can, but I'm having some "fun" with a few. I have started a YouTube channel where I can share my experience of these restoration/other projects at https://youtube.com/@DynamicallyTyped
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Continental Klein on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Continental Serial Number page and the Continental Klein By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
