Das ist meine AEG Mignon 4 aus dem Jahre 1928, gebaut in Erfurt. Sie ist in einem recht guten Zustand, die Maschine und der Koffer sind beide vollständige Originalsubstanz. Lediglich die Walze ist etwas hart.

Ich habe diese Maschine in den Restaurierungsarbeiten einmal komplett auseinandergebaut und gereinigt, frisch geölt und das Farbband ausgetauscht. Lediglich ein Detail stört mich an der Maschine. Die Walze, sowie auch die kleinen Gegendruckwalzen sind leider hart wie Stein. Die kleinen Gegendruckwalzen haben sich auch schon verformt und drehen sich nicht mehr. Aber trotzdem lässt sich auf der Maschine, mit etwas nachhelfen, noch relativ gut schreiben.

Hello, my name is Tim Rippl and I am from Germany. I have been collecting typewriters for about a year and a half and currently have eight machines in my collection. My collection mainly focuses on German manufacturers, but I also have a American typewriter.

What fascinates me most about typewriters is their technology, history, and the many different ways in which they were designed and constructed. In my opinion, old typewriters are a great example of how creative and resourceful people could be when working with relatively simple technical means. Every machine has its own history and character, and that is what makes collecting them so interesting to me.

I look forward to continuing to expand my collection and learning more about the history and technology behind these fascinating machines.
