1927 Royal P Serial # P27859 1927 Royal P typewriter, Serial # P27859 Ian Brumfield's 1927 Royal P typewriter. 2023-06-13 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Ian Brumfield: 1927 Royal P Serial # P27859 I got this machine on the 4th of July 2016 from the pastor of a Methodist church. He was selling a typewriter lot (5 machines!), and this was included.

It is a beautiful black & red combination, and being relatively early it is worth it just from a comparison standpoint.

Unfortunately, this machine was involved in some sort of flooding. The case is water damaged, and the back of the machine is as well, with plenty of rust to go around. With a little Liquid Bearingsâ„¢ I got the machine kicking again in short order. That said, the rubber back there is shot and will need to be sent to JJ Short.

The typesample looks crappy because it types crappily - had to manually advance the paper.
