Picked this up for Twenty-six bucks + shipping off Ebay. First is the mo. code 2, then the L is the year code, the remaining five digits 12389 are the serial number. The drawstring is broke; however, I was able to slap out some imprints, while manually walking the carriage, for a type spec. Surprise, it's Pica font! Update 10/29/17 : Cleaned, fixed line space selector, new draw band, added an ok used ribbon, replaced front feed roller with one from a 1940's Smith Corona Clipper, ETC. She works! Update 11/13/2023 I sold this now working typewriter to a nice man, who has been looking for this exact model typewriter...he will be setting it up for display on a stand.
