Description:
1924 Kappel 2 equipped with Gaelic, the language of Ireland. It's also got the Clo Gaelach script, the 'Celtic' font that some people are familiar with.
The slugs are Ransmayer & Rodrian (RaRo) #138, the serial number is 45708, and there's no Kappel logo but rather a decal of the last store to service it. There is also a decal showing its conversion to Gaelic on the bottom of the frame of the machine by "The General Typewriter Company" in Cork, Ireland.
From what I've seen on research, this is the first and only (so far) complete Gaelic typewriter recorded. Other ones have Gaelic equipped but have non-native Irish letters on their keyboard, such as Q.
Irish has 18 letters compared to English's 26 letters. The Irish language is missing J, K, Q, V, W, X, Y, and Z, hence why they're replaced here with accented keys instead.
