Not a collector, they just come my way as people know my interest. Space limitations limit what I have space for to a half-dozen or so. I will NEVER junk any machine in hopes that one day it might prolong the life of another. I am an enthusiast, but consider myself a preservationist! After, someone has to do it, and I do have an used shed. They are under wraps...keeping most of the dust out.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Underwood 3 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Underwood Serial Number page and the Underwood 3 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
