1914 Remington 10 Serial # RD07630 1914 Remington 10 typewriter, Serial # RD07630 Imre Deneer's 1914 Remington 10 typewriter. 2018-08-01 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Imre Deneer: 1914 Remington 10 Serial # RD07630 Remington Standard 10 with wide carriage, the first typewriter in my collection, which was given to me as a present by my girlfriend.
It wouldn't work at first, but now, almost a year after it was given to me, I finally had the courage to work on it. And actually, there's not much wrong with it! She works beautifully, with only a couple of defects.

- The tab system doesn't work yet.
- The e key seems to be a bit broken (see typesample. I tried cleaning it, but that didn't work, any tips?)
- Typing in red doesn't give full red, but half black half red. Haven't looked into to this yet. Maybe I've just used the wrong ribbon.
- It's missing one foot. (I now use a little book that's exactly the right thickness as a foot).

Another thing. Does anyone know how the keys get 'rotated'? Notice the R and the return key on the keyboard, which have both rotated 90 degrees. I wonder how that's even possible, I thought they were stuck in place?
