Description:
I had originally gotten this Oliver 3 in a package deal with a fellow collector in Royersford, PA in February of 2023. It needed some work, so I left it in the basement workshop and forgot about it. By early April, I pulled it out, only to realize that it is one of the first Oliver 3s--and the earliest on this here database. So I fixed it up, gave it some new feet, built some new wooden ribbon spools, and got it back to functional. Obviously, it is still missing some things--right and left keytops, one paper finger, etc., but it actually works fairly well.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Oliver 3 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Oliver Serial Number page and the Oliver 3 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
